So let me get this straight…a colleague is caught anally raping a 10 year old and turning a blind eye is totally copacetic. But if the Board of Trustees removes an accessory to rape from the payroll, that’s worth rioting over?
It’s funny how we never see these spirited defenses of people who are actually raped, only those who wish to ignore rape and keep their jobs. Unbelievable. Every Penn State student rioting tonight should be goddamn ashamed of themselves. You assholes have made it that much harder for every abuse victim on your campus to ever seek help.
Don’t you fucking tell me that we don’t live in a rape culture. Don’t you fucking tell me that our society supports me as a survivor.

We’ve got extremely reputable reports declaring post-abortion depression to be a hoax.
We’ve got extremely reputable reports showing how many women die from lack of safe, legal abortions.
And now we have the UN stating that ANY and ALL restrictions to the right to choose, to have knowledge, and to have contraception is a violation of human rights.

Byron Spellman, 16, left, Robert Coleman, 15, center, and Elijah West, 16, right, are a few of the local Savannah youths who stood in front of a crowd Saturday at Sacred Heart Church wearing t-shirts implying that they are Troy Davis. They wanted to represent to the community that this unfortunate circumstance could happen to anyone at any age and that Troy Davis could have just as easily been them. One speaker said that people are walking around Savannah at this very moment without a care in the world and turning their heads to this situation, and they will continue to do so until it is their own loved one whose fate will be decided by an unjust system.

If a teenager is a victim of incest, Republican state Sen. Dave Hann of Eden Prairie says a judge’s consent should be required before that teenager is allowed to seek medical attention, counseling, and testing for sexually transmitted diseases.
Because parents, he believes, need more control over their teenager’s bodies.
His bill, S.F. 1017, would do away with decades-old laws designed to encourage teens in trouble with sex, drugs, and booze to seek confidential medical help.
Besides the incest rule, the bill would also require parental consent before a teenager could be tested for sexually transmitted diseases and pregnancy, be prescribed a contraceptive, or be treated for drug or alcohol abuse.
